VERVE Studios is a place to find your people, sweat together, and change for the better — it’s much more than a workout. We value people and experiences. We think human connection is rad. We are passionate about our local San Diego community.
Our signature class, VERVECYCLE, is a vigorous 45- to 75-minute class combining rhythm-based choreography, high-intensity intervals, and upper body strength training. We’re led by athletic and dynamic instructors who sequence every class with powerful music to challenge you and transform the way you feel.
Our social wellness events and workshops are created to connect you with local brands and experts. We love to share local happenings, wellness content, and real stories from people in our community.

MEET THE FOUNDER
LENA RAKIJIAN, MS, RD is a dynamic health and fitness professional born and raised in Carlsbad, CA. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, indoor cycling instructor, yoga teacher, and health/wellness writer. Lena has contributed to online publications for Martha Stewart Living, Glamour, SHAPE, and more. She earned her M.S. in Nutrition & Public Health from Columbia University in New York and a B.A. in Business/Economics and Exercise and Sports Studies, Fitness Instruction from the University of California Santa Barbara.
Lena has been a fitness trainer for nearly 10 years in New York, Boston, and Southern California, and has been teaching indoor cycling for over 5 years. She has taught thousands of classes and provided instructor training and development to teachers across the U.S. and U.K. Her passion for indoor cycling, community outreach, and personal development has motivated her to launch her own studio closer to home. Lena is excited to join a community of local entrepreneurs in North County San Diego and cannot wait to build this life-changing studio. She is thrilled to open her first location, VERVE Studios Del Mar!
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
VERVE Studios is under construction! Our team has been rising before dawn (some days at 3am!) and working hard to build VERVE Studios from the ground up. We started with a vision for a remarkable boutique fitness space featuring custom bikes, state-of-the-art sound/lighting, and hand-selected, custom elements from local San Diego makers. From space planning to design to fabrication, every choice has our San Diego community in mind and at heart. We are so excited to gradually reveal more of the VERVE Studios vibe with you!

We show up, we sweat, we feel good, and we live better.
We give 100% in the moment with zero expectation for anything outside of those 45 minutes on a bike. It’s sweat, it’s movement, it’s a concert of music and motivation.
