Hear from Our Members: Gabby Hits 100 Classes!

Shoutout to VERVE Member, Gabby, for hitting 100 classes this month! Hear more about her journey with us:

What got you into working out at VERVE Studios in the first place?

I have always loved spin and friends from Temecula told me about this space when I moved to Oceanside late last year.

How has being part of the VERVE community made an impact in your health, your well-being, your life?

Since I joined in January, VERVE has been everything. My mindset for the most part used to be “I need to work out because I have to” vs now – “I want to work out because I am blessed that I am able to move.” Exercising just stopped becoming a chore; this community motivated me and made it easy for me to be consistent. I have so much energy in my day to day life and I feel healthier, both mentally and physically.

Tell us a memorable story! About a class, a moment, a triumph, a win, an instructor, a time at the studio. What stands out to you on your journey.

So before joining the studio, I have not really done much strength training because I have always felt intimidated lifting weights; but my first strength class in the studio was with Leah and she instantly made me feel safe in this space. It gave me chills when she said that it’s not all about the looks because it will eventually fade, but it’s about our future – being functional outside of the studio, growing older but still be strong enough to perform daily tasks in life. I felt her love for movement and it was amazing. It’s only been a few months but I feel stronger than ever.

Your favorite song!

I can’t choose one ‘cause I have so much love for 90’s and Early 2000’s R&B! T-Pain’s Buy U A Drank, Ashanti’s Rock wit U or Tamia’s So Into You are always a part of my go to jams!

Your favorite move on the bike or mat 🙂

Tap backs & body rolls.
